R. J. Morrissey is an artist who holds double Masters Degrees in Fine Art. His works appear in the private collections of such notables as Wade Boggs, Shaquille O'Neil, Jim Rice, Kenny Lofton, Paul Sorrento, former Florida governor's Bob Martinez and Bob Graham, former Florida agriculture secretary Doyle Connor, Dr. JD Morgan, Dr. Jay Stein, the Sterling Plumbing Group in Chicago and many more.
Mr. Morrissey has exhibited in many galleries and outdoor festivals such as Winter Park, South Miami, Festival of the States, Gasparilla Art Festival, Butler Art Institute and the Society of Four Arts in West Palm Beach. He was commissioned to do five Florida Citrus Prints to promote the Florida Citrus Industry. He has numerous hotel commissions throughout the United States. His involvement with the Arts includes being the Director of a cultural arts center. He also was President and Vice President of several art associations and was founder of an Art Festival in his own community. He oversaw it for over twenty years.
Mr. Morrissey was a frame and gallery shop operator. He has taught art painting, watercolor, drawing, and figure drawing at the college level for 30 years. He has also taught mural painting for many years as well as designed and executed many murals himself. He has had numerous one-man shows including Naples, Tampa and Chicago. He teaches private art classes during the year, and was also featured on Television .
Mr. Morrissey's work has appeared in publications such as Art Business News, American Artist, USA Today and Baseball Weekly. His work has also been featured at the Museum of Science, the New England Sports Museum in Boston, and at the Water Tower in Chicago. His art work is in collections not only in the USA, but also in Canada, South America, Europe and Asia.
